Activities and programs
at Hill-Stead reflect the museum’s founding idea—to be
a welcoming place for learning, enjoyment and reflection. Visitors
of all ages participate in indoor-outdoor festivals—Hay Day
in October, Wreath Ramble in November and May Market in spring. Lectures
and gallery talks attract arts-and-heritage lovers, gardeners and
landscape aficionados. Poetry at Hill-Stead translates into a summer
festival, workshops and competitions for teenagers and adults. In
conjunction with Adventures, Inc., Hill-Stead offers exceptional
opportunities for travel.
