Hill-Stead Museum is a non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization and a public charity. Three specialized Trustees per the Founding Will share responsibility for governing with a Board of Governors (incorporated 1992). The Board abides by By-laws and a Code of Ethics (revised 2005), and meets five times a year.
