Fifty-Minute Guided Tour
Tour 19 period rooms of the 1901 Pope
Riddle house. View the Alfred Atmore Pope Collection, comprising French
Impressionist paintings,
decorative arts, Japanese woodblock prints, ceramics and furnishings.
Hear about the museum’s history, architectural significance,
and the lives of Hill-Stead’s original occupants. Skilled interpreters
are happy to tailor the tour to your particular interests.
Self-guided tour
On the first Sunday of the month, tour the collection at your own pace from 12 pm until closing.
Interpreters are stationed throughout the period rooms to answer your
questions.
Evening Theme Tours Evening theme tours provide a way for the public to spend time in the Pope Riddle House after hours and get a taste of life Pope-family style. Themes change seasonally. Hour-long tours begin every half-hour starting at 5 pm. The final tour concludes at 7:30 with a glass of champagne.
