May Market 2024 Vendor Application

Hill-Stead Museum’s May Market is looking for high-quality and distinctive exhibitors for its annual event, to be held Saturday, May 4 & Sunday, May 5.

Thank you for your interest in participating in Hill-Stead Museum’s annual May Market. This springtime fundraiser features vendors and demonstrators showcasing unique gifts and floral arrangements just in time for Mother’s Day. This event will be hosted mainly outdoors with vendors providing their own tents. A limited number of indoor spaces are available.

To ensure a mix of vendors and demonstrators, we are taking applications through March 27, 2024, with notifications by April 1, 2024. We will accept applications after the deadline, but it will be on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Where? May Market will take place mainly outdoors, with vendors providing their own tents, tables, and chairs; there will also be a limited number of indoor spaces available in the Makeshift Theater, Glass Room, Stone Porch, Board Room, and Solarium.

Fees? The fee for a single space (10 x 10 feet) for two days is $300. You can purchase more than one space. The museum does not take a percentage of exhibitor sales.

Set-up? May Market runs from 10 am to 4 pm on May 4 & 5. Exhibitors may set up as early as Friday, May 3 from 10 am to 4 pm. All exhibitors are required to staff their spaces for the entire two-day event and to handle their own sales. Museum volunteers will be available to booth sit for breaks.

Extras? We have a limited number of tables to rent to exhibitors at a rate of $10 each. You must request these in advance. Due to the age of our building, indoor electrical outlets are also limited. We will do our best to accommodate your electrical needs, but please let us know in advance if you will need electricity. Exhibitors must supply their own extension cords and tents. There is no electricity provided for outdoor spaces.

We will review applications as they come in and approved applicants will receive email notification and confirmation no later than April 1, 2024.
