About Ballet Hartford
Established in August of 2016 as Vivid Ballet in Hartford, CT, the company began with the purpose of promoting the true, the good, and the beautiful. After only two seasons of garnering national and international recognition and doubling its roster of dancers, the company re-branded as Ballet Hartford with the mission of being “art for the city.”

With professional dancers from across the United States, Ballet Hartford produces programs that uphold tradition and celebrate innovation. Though the company’s vast inventory is filled with technically and artistically diverse choreographic works, there are also events and creations that honor the unique role Hartford played in the history of ballet in America.

Located in the heart of Hartford, the company has a professional partnership with The University of Hartford’s The Hartt School Dance Division and shares a thriving exchange of resources and opportunities. Accompanied by its affiliate school, the School of Ballet Hartford, the company strives for excellence with joy in all of its performances and offerings to the public.
